Journal

Published regularly since 1979, it was the pioneer journal of its kind in the discipline of Geography, with an exclusive focus on Population and allied aspects. Carrying a robust multi-disciplinary perspective, the Journal publishes the best scholarship emanating from geography and demography, sociology, economics, anthropology, economics, and psychology. The Journal is published as a hard copy, print ISSN number being: 0256-5331. Currently, it has 30 institutional life members and 450 individual life members. More than forty individual life members are from abroad, particularly the U.K., USA, and Canada. Under an exchange program, the Journal is shared with several journals published in India and abroad. An excellent library developed through this program and housed in the Department of Geography, Panjab University, Chandigarh, is widely consulted by the researchers and teachers from universities and colleges located in the North-Western region.
